The soft, warm, quick drying and fade resistant Gray Eco Blanket is made from 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles collected and sorted out by the volunteers from the Tzu Chi recycling stations. In order to implement the concept of “coexisting with the earth” addressed by Dharma Master Cheng Yen, founder of the Tzu Chi Foundation, all the production stages of the Gray Eco Blanket conform to the “Global Recycling Standard (GRS)” of the Netherland’s Peterson Control Union to ensure the safety and quality of the materials used in the recycling streams. In addition, a take back strategy for used blankets is at the planning stage to recycle the blankets.
