【英國】Desso 及Puma 榮獲 2012年永續企業獎

榮獲2012英國衛報之永續企業獎(Sustainable Business Awards)
5月29日於倫敦,英國衛報頒發了永續企業獎給搖籃到搖籃認證產品製造商Desso與Puma。永續企業獎對於展現創新且融合知識經濟的企業,是一大鼓勵。
歐洲領先的地毯和體育表面公司DESSO,因為在商業決策中實施搖籃到搖籃®設計理念,贏得了2012年英國衛報的永續企業獎當中的廢物處理和回收獎,一舉打敗其他兩個最終入圍企業,BAM Nuttall和可口可樂。

「我們正從傳統的『開採、製造、丟棄』模式邁向一個循環型經濟」Kranendijk說,「根據埃倫•麥克阿瑟基金會(Ellen MacArthur Foundation)的最新報告統計,循環型經濟模式在歐洲每年有630億美元的商機,接近整個歐盟全年度國民生產毛額的4%。」
自2008年以來,DESSO已將搖籃到搖籃®策略融入本身的商業模式,據此設計產品的拆卸和回收系統。搖籃到搖籃®的目標是重新設計我們生產製造物品的方式,讓我們的產品從根本改造,選用對環境有正面影響且可以不斷回收利用的材料。
2010年,DESSO的一個地毯系列產品以及地毯背襯EcoBase®同時獲得了搖籃到搖籃®銀級證書。由於其創新的成分,DESSO EcoBase®的聚烯烴基層是完全可透過DESSO本身系統進行回收的。
DESSO EcoBase®的地毯背襯有高達97%的材料被評估為對環境正面的材料。DESSO還建置了一個地毯回收系統,從消費者端回收使用過的地毯和材料。DESSO的目標是,到2020年所有產品的設計都將按照“搖籃到搖籃”的原則,此外大部分將生產能源改採再生能源。
